After labouring in the finishing studio for months and calculating various patina layering processes we stumbled upon our latest design: Avant-Garde. No floor dyes have been used in the colouring of this board, the oak has changed colour naturally, it is this evolving process  that has enabled us to create such rich vibrant end colours. We are the only Oak Flooring Company specialists to offer such unique bespoke designs, no other company will be suppling finished boards similar to our Avant-Garde Grande Restoration Floorboards because they simply do not know the formula. These rich, warm tones combine subtle differences between hues of red, brown, purple and orange and together a luxurious almost tropical board finish is born. Band saw marks are optional, we also can tweak the hue towards darker or lighter shades, or use a satin finish if required.

We were asked to source old hardwood flooring to match the Diesel rustic, flooring themes found in their New York and London stores. We supplied samples of old French carriage oak, Reclaimed pine roof boards, Reclaimed pine mill boards, Reclaimed oak strip flooring, all of which are a strong match for the Diesel theme. This timber was to be supplied to a high street fashion store who were looking at Diesel for inspiration, sadly for us as far as we know they decided to go for natural concrete rather than rustic timber. Here are some great pictures and examples of old, distressed timber flooring to match their distressed Diesel denim range. Awesome.

Our most popular flooring for Barn Renovations is Yellow Pine, Red Pine & Pitch pine. We tend to see more of our clients going for old oak flooring when the floor space is less than 50m2. Old pine is extremely versatile and because it is 100s yrs old and slow grown timber, its much more durable then todays pine. Prices are £23.89 – £31.50 + VAT M2, you’ll find it hard to locate a quality antique timber at these prices. Our stock and grade of pine timber varies from week to week, so please give us a call to see what grades and colour tones we have in stock.

In associated with brand creators I AM Associates and Mexican restaurant Chilangos, we were asked to provide authentic and believable old pine wall cladding, as if it had bean weather beaten for many years. Easier said than done. After sourcing the right timber, we meticulously sanded each piece by hand with fine papers, painted on 2 layers of white emulsion, then gently sanded again in specific areas. After numerous samples, many meetings and then approval, we then applied 1 coat of transparent compound for legal fire hazard requirements. Chilangos went on to win retail space of the year! Great work guys.
