Parquet de Versailles, initially a symbol of royal sovereign taste, is now synonymous with modern and timeless classicism design. Louis XIV of France brought forth a demand for patterned parquet floors that is as strong today throughout the world as it was in 1684.
Recognised panel patterns include Versailles, Chantilly, D'Aremberg , Marie Antoinette and Monticello. Panelled parquet floors are, and always will be, the epitome of majestic flooring. The non-panelled, less expensive, herringbone and chevron block parquet patterns offer a less complex yet equally striking alternative which still remain ever popular today.
