About this project
The New & Reclaimed Flooring Company were honoured to provide the flooring for My Chelsea Boutique Hotel, a unique boutique hotel set in the heart of London´s exclusive borough of Chelsea.
This “urban retreat” in the depths of Chelsea is a true hidden gem for business and leisure travellers and visitors.
Influenced by the famous Chelsea Flower Show, MyChelsea was designed with Mother Nature in mind. Step inside the welcoming lobby, and you immediately forget you’re in the heart of the British capital.
We loved working on this project with designer Design Haus Liberty, whose fusion of colour and texture throughout the building matches the tranquillity of the location.
The wooden flooring was laid on the diagonal, allowing it to harmoniously interact with the excellent, sharp lines of the minimalist furniture and subtle blend of neutral colours. Everything flows and is in keeping with the peacefulness of nature.
The product
Plants and greenery are abundant and the total décor has been designed to project a harmonious atmosphere. Our Lost Cove and Traditional White patinas blend perfectly with this sense of calm to create an inviting ambiance for hotel guests.
We installed a total of 126 m2 of a combination of the two engineered oak wooden flooring ranges, which discreetly complement the overall design of the hotel. These 185 mm wide wooden planks have been used throughout MyChelsea, from the entrance to the bedrooms to the dining area. This wooden flooring is perfect for high traffic locations, particularly hotels and offices.
