Among the reasons for designing architecture with wood are being an insulator, great for the environment and being versatile as there are various wood types to suit a preference for colour, acoustics or appearance.

At the Reclaimed Flooring Company, we are never short of seeing the beauty of this raw material.

And with our appreciation for wood, our blog will look at stunning wood architecture designs:

Taking a look at The Orquideorama, Plan B and JPRCR architects have designed an award winning structure. The architects have taken a note from nature and designed with the idea of having hexagonal steel tubes that rise to form ‘trees’. These steel tubes support the structure’s frame shielded with glass and wooden slats. Colombia’s public plaza has hosted events; from weddings to concerts and with such an interesting architectural shape, this is a gem for anyone visiting this piece of architecture.
