About: Sierra
Sierra is a bright natural finish, perfect for the naturally modern home. If you want a smart modern look to compliment your sophisticated décor then this is the flooring for you. It has a Scandinavian feel to it, due to the clean white finish. Think fjords, snow, bright white light, and clean fresh air and you’re reflecting Sierra.
We mention this because Sierra is perfect for underfloor heating as it is engineered, meaning it has a solid wood top which covers layers of WBP (Water Boiled Proof) birch plywood. So aside from the visual appeal of this weathered oak flooring, Sierra has a practical use too. And if you prefer solid wood we can supply Sierra in this form too.
The white weathered effects akin to authentic reclaimed wood are exclusive to the Reclaimed Flooring Company.
Of European origin, this oak is known as ‘European Mountain Oak’ and is grown in mountainous areas where there is little water. This also means the trees grow slowly so the grain of the wood is tighter which is extremely good for the wood structure of the oak trees. This makes our Sierra floorboard more durable than the average engineered oak floor.

Should I be concerned about the colour variation within a product?
If you are concerned about colour variation you can order a sample panel for a refundable deposit. Please remember that we are not creating exact copies of floor panels or hand samples, we are creating individual floors with their own unique personality and charm.
