Different levels of sanding and different finishing techniques will create a different final appearance.
On the images, we have different levels of sanding with satin natural hard wax oils.
On the last 2 images, you can see the wood as it arrives on-site, unfinished and unsanded, this is its untouched state. Offering excellent variations of finishing depending on the level of sanding and final coating applied.
Installation:
We advise our clients to speak with their installer before purchasing to discuss possible additional costs for the cleaning and finishing for this product as this product is supplied un-sanded and unfinished. Once installed, sanded and then finished on site it is possible to change the colour tone of the wood when applying tinted hard wax oils, eg black, natural, smoked oak or white (various other colours available).
The final presentation once installed will depend on the level of sanding on-site and finish applied, multiple options are available from rustic and characterful to a smoother and more refined finish
On special occasions, it may be possible to pre-sand these herringbone blocks depending on the batch of reclaimed material sourced. Please make enquires if this is something you may be interested in.

Estate Oak Collection
Our Estate Oak Antique timber floors have the benefit of being genuinely bespoke. For that very special project, each floor is designed and manufactured to fit individual rooms or settings.
The raw material is 100 to 400 years old. Naturally, it is from a pool of diminishing resources and requires painstaking work to revive and restore the original patina.

All wood crafting is done by hand, from raw material to finished product.
It is a heavily time-consuming process requiring crafted knowledge and skill to match individual commissions for colour, texture, movement and finish.

If you are concerned about colour variation you can order a sample panel for a refundable deposit. Please remember that we are not creating exact copies of floor panels or hand samples, we are creating individual floors with their own unique personality and charm.
